Structured Evaluation Based on Kerala Higher Secondary Curriculum
At Chettikulangara Higher Secondary School, student assessment is conducted strictly as per the norms laid down by the Department of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE), Kerala. Our evaluation process is transparent, exam-oriented, and aligned with the prescribed syllabus and timetable.
Evaluation Pattern
Terminal Examinations
Three terminal examinations are conducted annually — First Term, Second Term, and Model Exam. These help students prepare systematically for the final public examination.
Unit Tests & Class Assessments
Periodic unit tests are held in each subject, along with internal class assessments. Marks from these contribute to internal grading.
Public Examinations (Class 12)
Plus Two students appear for the DHSE Higher Secondary Examination, with written and practical components (where applicable). Faculty support includes exam-focused revision sessions and model paper discussions.
Practical Exams
For Science and select Humanities subjects, practical examinations are conducted in school under DHSE guidelines.
Internal Assessment Marks
Based on attendance, participation, assignments, and performance in class tests, internal assessment marks are submitted to the DHSE portal.
