The journey of the A.N.P. Nair Memorial Educational Trust is a living testament to one man’s vision expanding into a movement. What began as a modest night school has evolved into a network of educational institutions shaping thousands of lives.
1902
A.N.P. Nair is born in Chingoli, Karthikapally Taluk.
1931
Establishes the Vidyalaya Poshini Institution in Chettikulangara, Mavelikkara Taluk, and begins publishing the educational magazine Vidyalayaposhini.
The institution conducts training for teachers to prepare for the teacher training examination in Karthikapalli and Chettikulangara.
1932
Establishes Vidyalaya Poshini Middle School.
1934
The middle school is upgraded to Vidyalaya Poshini Malayalam High School, one of the few Malayalam high schools in the region.
1937
Founds a higher-grade training school in Chettikulangara, one of the few in the area.
1948
Converts the Malayalam High School into an English High School, later known as Chettikulangara High & Training School.
1962
Founds the Institute of Geography in Chettikulangara and begins publishing the magazine Sastravedi.
1989
A.N.P. Nair passes away, leaving behind a lasting legacy of educational progress.
1991
Following the passing of A.N.P. Nair, the A.N.P. Nair Memorial Educational Trust is formally constituted to carry forward his mission.
2024
Modernization of infrastructure, digital learning initiatives, and introduction of co-curricular innovations.
